Located between the bustling market square and the idyllic University Square, right in the heart of Lingen's city center, lies Markt22 – a lovingly renovated and historic townhouse that now houses seven unique city apartments. Created from the conversion of a former bank building, the building now combines urban comfort with artisanal substance and a great deal of architectural sensitivity for the existing structure.
The apartments range in size from 26 to 58 square meters and each offer spacious and comprehensive amenities for up to four people – with well-designed kitchens, high-quality bathrooms with walk-in showers, stylish interiors, and an individual floor plan that is always slightly different from the others. Some units extend over two levels; one offers a spacious balcony directly overlooking the market square, while four others each have a balcony overlooking the university square. The ground floor also features an accessible apartment – ideal for guests with limited mobility. An elevator was deliberately omitted from this historic building in order to preserve the existing structure.
Markt22 is aimed at people who want to stay longer in Lingen – be it for a professional project, a training course, a conference, a relaxing weekend in the city, for visitors to the diverse cultural events (e.g., the EmslandArena), for cyclists, or simply for anyone who wants to experience the city's flair up close. Bookings are available Monday to Friday or Friday to Sunday. Longer stays are also possible upon individual arrangement and at special rates.
